That’s how I have been doing it but for some reason I’m experiencing difficulties.

I’ve been using the “Start” keyframes in range selector 1. That’s how I have been animating the text. What is the offset – what’s the difference?

Also, I’m not sure I’m adding the pause keyframes correctly either. When I put them in “End”, it still goes past them and runs the text til the end….

And is there an easier way to sync to the audio in terms of hearing the audio as you go while seeing the type? Or do I have to ram-preview every time and guess?

    Thanks again.

I am using the typewriter preset. It does provide two keyframes. I guess the biggest problem is finding out the easiest way to move on the timeline. It’s hard to sync text to audio when I can’t hear the audio unless I do a ram-preview all the time. Is there a way around that? I like FCP-type editing programs because it’s easier to sync things up. Any ideas are appreciated.

    Thanks!

I am using HD 4.5. I have 3d Title but it doesn’t seem to have character keyframe options….I can’t figure out how to get the text to type on like a typewriter. I can’t use the typewriter text function in FCP because it doesn’t allow for wrapping text nor does it allow for paragraphs like 3d title.

    Please help!!

    Thanks

I am using FCP HD. Can you be more descriptive…I am fairly new at it. There’s also a function called “typewriter” when you go to the text options. You can pick Title 3d, title crawl or typewriter. Just wondering if that will do anything also?

    Thanks for your help.
