Unfortunately, Cinema Tools sees the file as 25fps. Weird I know.
I’m using ProRes, I’ve tried H264 and the Intermediate codec as well.

I’ve found that I can double click to put it in the preview window and then I copy and paste the tc so that means I don’t have to physically “type” it. Which would be awful.
It seems odd to me that FCP doesn’t have a feature to put clips at the timecode location. I think I remember that Premiere does do it.
I’ll keep truckin on.

I’m trying to sync small clips from different cameras, to a continuous recording of graphics which will then be split to match the smaller clips and then condensed ready for editing.
Everything we shoot is in a chronological order, we make training videos.
The graphics come out of Keynote.

Yeah, that sorts the clips ok, but dragging them onto the timeline just butts them together, these clips have gaps between them which need to be maintained.

Hi there,
Depending on how many effects and colour grading steps you may want to do there are plenty of options.
I’m using a workflow with the EX format that goes like this:-
– Using compressor convert all footage from XDCAM EX to ApplePro Res.
– Edit those files and apply the effects
– render and output with compressor to dvdDue to the long GOP of XDCAM EX, final rendering can take a REALLY long time. The projects I’m working on are 2 hours long mostly, so it’s always nice to get everything into the right format at the beginning to speed up the process of rendering at the end.
This may or maynot be for you, but it’s something to think about.
I also backup the original files from XDCAM onto various hard drives (which takes up minimal space) so that I always have the source material. And the project file.
