November 18, 2006 at 9:57 pm in reply to: Cinema 4D model into After Efftects!? Can I? Should I?Okay my head is much clearer now.
Though a new technical question arised.
When you guys say export your camera from cinema4d into after effect, do you mean the whole project from cinema 4d with the animation of the camera? Or do you right click and send the actual camera to after effects, that im a bit confused as I dont see an option on exporting a “camera”, do you guys mean project with a camera?
thanks! I do see the checkbox for exporting into a after effects compp in the render box of cinema 4d, but no actual camera options,
please specify how i can export the camera?
thanks once again dudes

Should I?I have a 2D video of a guy, and a 3D model of a truck, i was thinking to composite the two in after effects, so i just export the truck using the aec checkbox right? but i still dont know how i want my camera to animate in after effects, i want to decide once im in the composite, so can i animate in after effects, the export that camera into cinema4d so the model is viewed at the correct angles?

September 10, 2006 at 8:35 pm in reply to: Importing a cinema4d model city into after effects, can i fly around as I please? The whole world of 3D just became 200% more clear now. I was a bit confused with all the talk about importing your rpfs into combusion, and manipulate the geometry there, thought I could do the same with after effects, but guess not, which is okay, Ill do all my fly throughs in Cinema 4d and just add the images and movies using after effects.
thanks

August 21, 2006 at 5:23 pm in reply to: How much should i charge for a website design? 50+pages, and animation? Thanks a lot Bret, that was a big help. Actually, it is now going to be a 100+ page project, with 3 languages, I wont be doing any hardcore programming, no maintenence; as my client has someone for that, perhaps I could pitch to do the maintenence, and keep the animations updated?
His current guy only knows programming, and I know mostly design and a bit of programming. So I dont think I would be risking much, as clients will be using paypay to complete their transactions, and we wont be storing any private information on the sites database. This is a good opportunity, as the company is shifting its marketing image, logo (which i designed), and website. I am a new designer for the company, so why not be the new programmer as well?

May 16, 2006 at 8:39 am in reply to: converting a wedding from NTSC into PAL.Simple.
– dont create a new sequence, use the one you have in FCP, you are using FCP right?
– but, you do have to start a new dvd project, from the start, select new project in the DVD authoring software program of your choice
– then i believe in preferences, or one of those settings, you change it to Pal, then start your dvd, import the project you already exported, (you should have exported the video as a pal format if the NTSC does not work, first try with the original .m2v file, if not go back and try with a pal export setting,
– and wallah, create your new pal dvd, and enjoy in Europe,Clint Nitkiewicz Hern

February 22, 2006 at 8:32 am in reply to: What Format + Codec For The Internet ?whats your website so i can get an idea of what your working with, also
one of my 10 min video i put up on the web is about 13mb, the others are like 3-8mb each, at about 5 mins each, at 300kbps
https://www.newelementproductions.com/index.html
directly out of final cut pro, using compressor, i exported the timeline, sequence, as a streaming, not a download for web, because somebrowsers dont allow one to view the video unless the whole movie is finished downloading, and you dont want that, you want the viewer to view the vidoes once they start downloading, to play perhaps at the same speed as the download, so click streaming, and it should export is as a .mov, also i recommend the 300 setting, 100 too low, 800 no need, 300 you get almost top knotch quality, but quick as lightning streaming,
so hope my advice was usefull, again, send me the link to check out your progress
also a question for you, do you know how I could do the same process for a .wav file? or convert a .mov to a .wav? i have a mac, i know for p.c theres a million converters out there on the internet, but mac? thats a tuff one to find? any ideas.
cool good luck
