  • It may not be possible to have a single key to set say a “red” marker. But you can set a key to change the color after its been placed (pressing “M”)

    I just found this out, you can go to the keyboard shortcuts and assign a quick key for “marker color #1”, “marker color #1”, etc. These correspond to the arrangement, left to right, of markers in the marker window. #1 is Green, #2 is Red, so on and so forth. Not exactly the trick, but hopefully it will speed up the process.
