I did some more testing and it seems that the problem is somewhere else. It doesn’t crash only when i create a timeline after i put a file in to the media pool. DaVinci also crashes when i simply playback a file in the MEDIA and than try to create the timeline. The only way it works now, is when I create a timeline immediately after DaVinci launches.

Haven’t contacted them yet. I only wrote on their forum with no response.
As soon as I get to the PC I’ll try the new version of DaVinci 10.1.4 and hope it will work. -
R3d’s have no problem in Redcine, MOV’s no problem in quicktime. I actually made a clean install of windows7, because i wanted to try if windows 8 will help. It didn’t. All the drivers should be installed properly. I actually have an original dell station with only video card exchanged, so all the drivers are on one place on the Dell website and they are for the particular model. I didnt face any errors while updating them.
Maybe i need some kind of a codec pack ? -
It doesn’t make difference if i import single MOV file or a single r3d file. It stops responding the same way.

I’ve tried to add just a single MOV or r3d clip and nothing changes.
I’m logged into windows as admin. I did also try to change to windows 8 with no success. -
Hi Margus,
I’m using some Proress MOV 444 and r3ds. I’m pretty sure the files are not corupted because I can playback them in the Media tab and if I create the tmeline first, before adding them to the media pool it works the way it should. I’ve also tryed to add just one of the files playback it in the media tab than create the timeline and it just stops responding the same way.
I’m not sure what you mean with the permission problem, but I’m loged in as an admin. -
I just got the GTX760 ! Thank you !

Thank you for your response. Ijust tryed different video card and i’m getting much better results. I think davinci can’t use the quadro and uses just 1/4 of it. Anyway I’m about to buy a new videocard but i’m a bit tight on a budget so i’m deciding between this two cards:

The Gtx 760 got 1152 cuda and 4GB.
The Gtx 680 got 1536 cuda but only 2GB.Which one do you think would work better for davinci ?
Thanks again !

Thank you very much Ivan,
i was googling for that answer all the day 🙂 !!! And may i ask what would be the setting in AE ? Should I set the working environment to 32 bpc or 16 is enought ? After i send the comp to render que, in output module there is tab color ( premultiplied / straight ) which sould i choose ? Than in cineon setings there is again bpc (8/16/decimal) i should choose 16 bpc right ?
