DaVinci Performance Problem
Hi there,
I’m facing some problems with the performance of DaVinci 10 on my PC. And i can’t figure out what’s the reason. When I simply playback a FullHD MOV in the color tab (with no changes aplayed) i can’t get to 25 fps realtime. It’s going only to 15-16 fps. With 2k Proress 444 from Alexa i get like 6-7 fps (no changes aplyed). I’m actually getting similar performance on my mbp 2012, which i think is wierd. I’ll appreciate any advice !My pc configuration:
Intel Xeon Hexa Core C5650 – 6x 2,67 GHz
RAM 12 GB 1333mhz
nVidia Quadro FX 580
SSD disk Kingston
Decklink 4k extreme
windows 8/7 -

get an additional gtx gpu, i think the quadro
could be your bottleneck. -
Thank you for your response. Ijust tryed different video card and i’m getting much better results. I think davinci can’t use the quadro and uses just 1/4 of it. Anyway I’m about to buy a new videocard but i’m a bit tight on a budget so i’m deciding between this two cards:

The Gtx 760 got 1152 cuda and 4GB.
The Gtx 680 got 1536 cuda but only 2GB.Which one do you think would work better for davinci ?

if you wanna use noise reduction, go for more
ram! as the announced v11 will have better caching
as well this seems to be more future-proof! -
