May 8, 2017 at 8:46 pm in reply to: Settings for sending video by WhatsApp

    Hello:

Thank you so much for your answers. I have use the setting Apple Devices HD (Most Compatible), with the size 960 x540 the bitrate was automatic, the size of the video was 150 Mb. Through AirDrop I sent it to my Iphone and then I sent it through Whatsapp. The final size was 50 Mb.

So it seems that the WhatsApp limit is 50 Mb and the size of the video received by whastApp it´s always of 848 x 480.

I wonder if I should change the initial size of the video, and about the bitrate, I lowered too much and I saw the pixels, I wonder which it´s the limit to see it properly.

    Thank you again

    Hello:

Thank you so much for your answers!!!! I have tried the things that you recommended, and with the VLC there is no way to open the files mp4. I have discovered that also happens with mp4 smalllers, I though it was only with the biggest one, but today I have found some smallers that also have the same problem.

I am using the Treasured and I can see them!!!! Thank you so much to everyone. Have a nice day!!

    Hello Craig:

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I am using the version V2.6 of Xdcam Clip Browser.
What I do it is: I create a new folder in the explorer window of the Xdcam Clip Brower, and then I Import a mp4 file .With the short ones there is no problem, but the ones that the size is bigger like 2 gigas a message appears: Failed to import the clip. Clip name 284.mp4.

Note: This all mp4 that I am working with, they belong to a disck that it was deleted and they went to a company to recover the files, and they have give me a folder with just these mp4 files.

    Thank you for your help

August 10, 2010 at 9:22 am in reply to: Keyboard Final Cut

    Hi Natalia:

I think I have the same problem. I make the changes that I want to my keyboard and I save them with a name. Buy every time I open Final, I have to again go to the Menu and choose the keyboard that I have saved. A warning appears “That keyboard layout is for Spanish-ISO. If you import it into the current language, the keys may not match up properly” I say OK and now I can use the keyboard I saved. But when I open again Final Cut…I have again to choose it. It´s really annoying. Please. Can you tell me, what did you do? or anyone can help me? Thank you

    Hi again:

I have talked to the person who recorded the audio, and can´t tell me a what frame rate he recorded the sound with the Dat. ( I thought that with Audio recording it doesn´t matter the frame rate that you are recording on a camera but it seems that yes, it´s important, that you can record your audio on 24 or 25)

So I wonder if the problem is that the audio recorded on the Dat, wich they gave me on a CD as wav, has different speed that the audio recorded in the camera, (I mean with the clips with the sound of reference)

If this could be like this, so what do you recomend me? Because what I am editing it´s going to be transform to film and I have to send it to the sound editor and to the lab. So should I change the speed of the audio of the Dat in Final, how much ?
This thing is driving me crazy….

    Thank you,

    Hi,

So you mean to change the speed of a clip at 99%, and see what happens? The thing is that I am doing the editing offline and them this will be convert to film.

What I wonder, is that I made the conversion from the original Red One clips to Apple Pro Ress, with the software of Red Rushes, and the resulting clips are at 24 frames per second. And them I imported to Final and drag them to a sequence and appeared the message to change the settings of the sequence and I said yes. So the sequence is a 24 frames per second….so, it should work…What has happened?

Have a lovely day and Thanks

    Hello John:

Thank you so much, for answering.

Where I can check that the frame rate true 24fps or is it 23.987?
In the sequence settings or in the Browser, I see that is set to 24 fps.

I have read that sometimes the problems of delay in sync audio it´s related to differences between the frame rate of the clips and the frame rate of the sequence. Could be any other reason?

Thank you , have a nice day

  • Hi, Thank you for your answer.

The settings of the sequence is Apple Pro Res 422 HQ, I guess that the footage it´s hard to process, so that´s why on the Timeline RT you can not decided if could be unlimited RT or safe. It directly tells you that it is only. Play BAse layer only.

    Is this correct? Any sugestion?

    Thank you!!!!
