    Hey Mike,

Thank you so much for passing on your experience!

I’ve tried all you recommended and it has worked perfectly with Excel xls pages. I can pan/scan and even deep zoom and it looks great.

I’m having a problem after I convert a Word doc.
When I drop it on the timeline I can’t see the text. The text is black and the background is black. The colored logo on the page shows up great.
If I put a white background under the png file the text shows up fine then but the whole background stays white and that does not allow for effective pan/scan.
After using the secondary color corrector it makes the text show up just a little bit.

What step am I missing to be able to see the black text on these converted Word docs?
I’m baffled because the Excel xls pages came out great.

    Thanks again.

Is there a setting I need to change so I will be able to check the option “Render image and burn”?

The “Render image only” is the only option I can check.

    I’m using a Lite-on LH-20A1S SATA internal DVD burner.

I put the blank DVD in the player before I even open Vegas 8.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

    Update:

The disc also failed to play in a Panasonic DMP-BD30 at Best Buy.

Can anyone tell me their exact steps to making a DVD5 play HD files?

    Thanks,
    Chuck

  • Hey Lowrysam,

These Forums have been such a Blessing to me over the last few months as a newbie to Photoshop and Vegas.

I just picked up a sealed Epson R280 off Craigslist here in Clearwater for $40.

Could I trouble you for a copy of of that template as well?

    Thanks in advance,

    Chuck

Is there 1 format to render as that I can archive my work and then use on multiple delivery systems?

I’m working on a project now that will be used on a web site,
DVD’s and even VHS. It is a 5 to 7 minute testimonial.

    How would you procede?

Since I have lots of room on my harddrive I render to avi best quality. I then have more options down the road.

I let DVD Architect do whatever it needs to to make a DVD.
In the case of an avi file it needs to re-render to mpeg2 and that does take extra time.

I can always free up space my making archival data DVD’s of my larger avi files if my harddrive fills up.

    Thanks for replying!
I had already read and bookmarked that tutorial.
I’m still curious what others on this Forum have tried.
