    for DCP exports.

New custom sequence, with multichannel mono audio tracks (6 total)
important you choose multichannel and NOT 5.1…for some reason it lowers the audio volume on export.

Then bring in each track in order of smpte specs:

    L
    R
    C
    Lfe
    Ls
    Rs

Then go to the mixer window and pan each track.
    L
    R
    L
    R
    L
    R

Also make sure you check each box (in the mixer) that indicates
    L & R is mapped to1 & 2
    C & Lfe is mapped to 3 & 4
    Ls & Rs is mapped to 5 & 6
(this keeps them all seperated without combining them all)

Export the quicktime, in the audio options choose multichannel 24-bit.

this might fix your youtube color problem. it doesn’t work with adjustment layers directly
you have to use it in the dropdown for the export in adobe media encoder just before rendering. or you can NEST your sequence first.
    its a premiere bug.

also it needs to be copied in both premiere-lumetri-technical and adobe media encoder-lumetri-technical

    fixmyyoutube LUT
64 cube iridas lut for burning in darker 16-235 from 0-255 for youtube upload. it darkens image, then youtube re-lightens again.

premiere(and mercury transmit/dynamic link) is rec. 709 0-255 gamma 2.2. vlc “usually” matches premiere if you have 0-255 set in nvidia control panel. quicktime player is gamma 1.8 so doesn’t match premiere natively. mpc-hc, madvr supports color management. It all comes down to your playback device, if it supports color management, gamma 2.2 0-255 full range RGB etc. You can often make your own ‘corrective’ lut with this free lut generator.

create lut from before and after image.(has some video tuts scroll halfway down)

  • use mono

  • when you said you tried 8 other android devices, did they work on any other youtube site? is the audio stereo or mono as that can sometimes cancel each other if both tracks are identical. Try 2 stereo external speakers from the android phone headphone jack to test.

I can tell you right now a 32 core will not help anything at the HD to h.264 render.
At this resolution, Premiere is code hard limited to 12 cores.

As for 4k to 4k h.264, clock speed is more important than cores as seen in this effeciency graph. the 6950k is faster than the dual xeon 28 core.
    https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Adobe-Premiere-Pro-CC-2015-3-CPU-Comparison-849/#Exportingto4K

So unless AMD has super turbo clock speed and much lower prices, they will simply be unable to compete. Besides, I
believe they said they were raising prices and not doing the price undercut model anymore.

    adobe forum final conclusions are:
    1) There does not seem to be any hard coded limit on CPU threads for H.264 output workflow for Premiere Pro (ie 4k to 4k utilizes 100% CPU on 24 threads — dual Xeon 6-core w/ HT’s)
    2) However, there is a definite limit as to how may CPU threads will get utilized for a HD to HD H.264 output workflow; I was seeing 90+ % CPU utilization, but only when I had dropped available cores to around 12 threads. With 24 threads available, I was only seeing about 50% CPU utilization (think about that as closer to 100% utilization on 12 cores and the rest are just sitting around).
    3) Both Premiere Pro and Media Encoder can run at the same time and utilize more cores than either will by itself (for HD workflows and lots of available CPU cores) When I ran both simultaneously, total CPU utilization was hitting just above 90% (w/ 24 threads available).

4k needs 6,8,10 cores and laptops don’t have six cores. you can always get smaller cases with micro atx or even mini itx.

this compares 4 core to six core performance inside premiere

does it change if you click high profile?

  • i was just talking about this too.
you can create your own lumetri preset that fixes the ire ‘bug’ as shown here with detailed pictures. Thanks again Neil!

can you stretch the audio in premiere so the waveforms line up with the phenomes? you may need to make a few razor slices. your audio recorder may have drifted compared to a cell phone.
