you can expect high quality cineform to be anywhere from 40GB/hour-300GB/hour depending on quality and resolution. or you can go the really small low quality proxy route with DNxHR LB at only 14GB/hour.
so add the two together 45+(40-300) or 45+14 is 1.4 – 8 hour’s worth. not including the media cache which can get almost as big, so divide your final numbers in half if you don’t have a separate drive for cache, so .7 – 4 hour’s worth.
not including extra sfx, music, effects etc another 20% or so down to .28-1.6 hour’s worth.
if you shoot one day a month, its enough. then transfer to a slow platter for archiving and delete your media cache per project.
