clone stamp or photoshop’s healing brush, used with alt key, will also copy the sharpening changes. This sounds like frame by frame rotoring.

to get extra range, just take more picture of varying exposure, like 5 instead of only 3. It works great!

are you looking for a plugin? AE doesn’t have much wire removal support besides roto and clone stamp brush support. But many films are made that way.

you the mean the face that is distorted? Looks like nothing more than particle playground/world/particular engine layer screened with distort->cc smear or pen smear.

I directly compared the PSD method to just fields off AE export. AE is way, way better anyway; even more so plugins that are designed for this: dvfilm, fieldskit, magic bullet, algolith etc. Heck, even virtualdub probably looks better. People have used timewarp vectoring to merge the two fields together too.

in every instance of AE I have ever seen crashing and also being fixed is starting with a basic fresh install, no extra cards, accelerators, or 3rd party systems and then painfully adding each new 3rd party component back in one at a time, restarting and checking for stability. Everyone always finds out that it’s hardware based once the software is re-done.

luma, chroma, or roto extract the horses then screen or add mode transfer them in with light spill so they don’t have a hard edge and finally color correct them. The perspective camera angles have to match too. Any pov of small objects looking up could also use wide angle lenses.

I haven’t tested this yet from another post but if you read about how 3 stripe was originally made, you’ll logically determine the right tweaking from the channel effects.

Three seperate instances of the footage stacked using lumanance set channel. i only allowed one for green, one for red, and one for blue. then i tweaked the green a little towards yellow, the red a little towards magenta, and blue a lot towards cyan and blend them back together with channels combine. then you compress the midtones. i was very pleased with my results.” -
