It must be converted from version 8.0×247. That’s fine. –ok

Standard Definition pixel aspect ratios will be updated –ok

This project contains 1 reference to a missing effect, “SA color Finesse 2”,
weird that you don’t have that effect but don’t worry, I put the hue/saturation effect just above it.
Just click its fx box to on and tweak the master saturation wich is protected by the sat protect alpha

“After Effects warning: 1 file is missing since you last saved this project.” “a.jpg” yes that is the only box you replace with. the two “original source deleted are old and not used, so ignore those.

The next step is that it will give you a default setting of a little of each ability, highlight, contrast and saturation. I originally thought that I would give you an idea how to go about this, but didn’t realize that you were new to AE, I apologize for my presumption. It’s up to you to know what aspect ratios you need.

just right click replace footage on a.jpg sequence then in final comp, controls have exposure and detail restore sliders, local contrast layer has radius, sat layer has color finesse hsl master sat that can be tweaked from the sat protect alpha comp.

here comes the obvious question, is it professionally calibrated? and going higher than 60hz can help too.

I forgot to add, if turned off, you won’t have an imbedded profile anymore. So, depending on your workflow, if your other software needs it imbedded or not because AE can assign profiles, some others can’t.
I leave it up to you, you can always play it safe and burn in the same imbedded profile.

here’s the funky thing, if the output profile color working space is the same as the interpreted footage, then no color management settings actually change anything. It’s the same thing as if management is turned on and you go to view-simulate output the same profile, they look exactly the same, nothing to do!

In simple terms, if they’re the same, color management turned on doesn’t do anything, but the downside is that you can’t color correct based off a calibrated monitor, but like you said, you just needed to re-export, so that doesn’t matter either. and you’re right about leaving it at 16bpc. Don’t lose that trillions!!!

btw, a just-4-fun tip is that simulated outputs can actually be burned in creating free-fast-great looking film looks. The effect is called color profile converter. For instance, if you want high saturation, start with a wide gamut or pro photo then strink it down
to a smaller gamut such as SD. There’s fuji stock too etc.

that’s a lot of extra work, but as you found out, it also works too.

you need a x-pline set to negative mode. Check out mocha’s online tutorials that I believe go over that.

it would be super useful to everyone here if you posted a screenshot, but my first guess is simply feather the mask out.
