  • that sounds like a bug if you didn’t change the field settings.
    are you rendering fields off?

  • I believe its a certain cadence pulldown from 24 to get 60i.
is the advanced dv pulldown greyed out in premiere?

Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) a 24p clip in the Project panel.
    Select Modify > Interpret Footage.
Under Frame Rate, select Remove 24p DV Pulldown.
    Click OK.

do you mean 23.976 into a 29.97 fps? 24.97 never heard of that. 23 might be variable framerate(which causes audio issues) which would require handbrake transcoded to quicktime png first. then take the new 23fps and drop into 24.97(if that really is what you want) and it should speed it up. or use clip-pixel motion to convert with optical conversion so there’s no speed change.

are you looking for 8 bit, 10 bit, or 16 bit lossless video codecs? image sequences?
the smallest lossless 8 bit I know of is quicktime PNG. It’s pretty small, almost as small as jpeg.
the smallest image sequence is PNG. The smallest image sequence at 16bit without a single bit change is Tif lzw compression off. EXR is the same size as DPX

    for lossy, yea I know
    DNxHR 444 – Finishing Quality (12-bit 4:4:4) (Cinema-quality delivery)
    Cineform Film scan 2:
FS2 “Overkill” -when you have very demanding post workflow

is there any way you can reduce the project file and attach it here? I tried several things with feathered masks and alphas and couldn’t re-create your “bug”

And DPX does support RGB+Alpha btw 🙂

i should probably wait until you post your specs, but hey!

    try:
    1. set mercury playback to software, then render via Adobe Media Encoder
    2. use handbrake to transcode media to quicktime png first before importing in premiere then render via Adobe Media Encoder
    3. update/downgrade graphics driver
    4. does it appear in cc 2014?
