  • Got it! Thanks Job! It was a format issue. I had forgotten about another editor doing some AE work in 1080i, so I originally created the Avid project in 1080i/60 to support this later. And cameraman now tells me he shot it at 720p/30 which is why I could NOT load them in a 720p/59.94 Avid project source monitor(without a frame rate error message to transcode). Did not want to use 720/29.97 HDV avid project because told it was lower quality?

Anyway, I TRANSCODED the orginal 720p/29.97 clips in a 720p/59.94 Avid project to unity as DNxHD 220 clips and they played fine in FULL QUALITY in the source monitor and timeline.

    Hope this helps all. Peace.
