Sync fixed! New AJA driver 10.4.9. Maybe BM too???
Some have wanted to know. It took a couple of tries at driver updates from AJA, but I can finally say that Final Cut Pro 7, on Mavericks (Mac OS X 10.9), with an AJA capture & monitoring card (io XT for me) for feeding your client monitor, is feeling reliable after testing. There were some crazy lip sync issues at first, but the new drivers from AJA (10.4.9) fixed it. So like the famous Monty Python line goes, “not dead yet!”
Maybe Blackmagic has a fixed driver too?-Christopher

Try 10.4.9 drivers now. I believe it is fixed!

Did you try toggling the audio output settings in both FCP and the Audio System Preferences panel? Just to something else and back. Do you have an output card or just the Mac?

Hi Gary, and did you get a steady non-stuttery signal out of the ioXT? Did you open a largish ProRes HD project? Or did you only do an app opening test? Thanks for your input.

John, thanks for your report. Did you open a large project with HD ProRes and test playback and timeline navigation? Did you get to test an AJA or BM card or box?
