720p/60p can be great for motion and sports.
When you first get into HD shooting it can be a little over whelming with choices and formats and decisions.
Guess what?? It’s no big deal. Shoot what ever and it’ll be fine.
If you have broadcast avenues to hit, then you need to be on board with their specs.
Otherwise; 1080i/60i looks great on Bluray and DVD (SD)
You can export a Progressive version of the edit for web.
1080i/60i/24p or 30p looks great on Bluray and DVD (SD)

720p/24p or 30p or 60p look great on web and bluray and dvd.
