In premeire, did you let premiere match the sequence settings to your source clip?
What is the footage you are working with in Premiere?
720p/24p?Your sequence should match your footage should match your export for YouTube.

It’s not like that, choose the preset you see i=here in the screen grab, create the sequence and then look at the sequence settings.

You’ve had the 500 for years and never shot HD????
720p/60p can be great for motion and sports.
When you first get into HD shooting it can be a little over whelming with choices and formats and decisions.
Guess what?? It’s no big deal. Shoot what ever and it’ll be fine.
If you have broadcast avenues to hit, then you need to be on board with their specs.
Otherwise; 1080i/60i looks great on Bluray and DVD (SD)

Ya, preview files are temp, use a lower quality. Use a mpeg codec. Something less taxing on the system.
When you export, APP will reference the original media for a high quality export.Chris

This has been a trend with Adobe CS and the Mac.
When I have a complex edit going it grinds my mac to a halt.
Very disappointing.We can hope Adobe and Mac get it figured out or….
