Which ever format you have the most of – go with that one.
If P2 is the majority of the footage then start there.
Your go pro clips may be of smaller size. You’ll need to res them up or put them over a background.Have you tried creating an all new proj?
You have enough hard drive space for renders right?Next would be Adobe Tech support or re-installing the app.

Try applying a crop filter to a clip and then do not change any parameters of the crop, leave it 0, as is and make sure it’s in the work area, will that render?

You shoot interlaced.
Your footage is interlaced.
Computer screens don’t display interlaced footage properly.
You finished DVD’s should look fine played on a DVD player in the Living Room.Chris Tompkins

This is not true.
Drop a clip onto the “new sequence” icon on the bottom of you project and it will match the footage.

No. You are not doing anything wrong. IF you listen to the newly compressed file after you create a youtube ready file and it sounds fine.
Before upload.The prob. is with youtube or mobile device playing.

Launch Soundtrack Pro.
Navigate to your scratch disc where the mono audio file is.
Drop it into the timeline.
File export.
select:48k
16bit
stereoIt will output a new file for you.
Import that into FCP.
But, doubling up the mono track works fine too in FCP. It depends what you are really trying to accomplish.

You select your internal hard drive for the repair permissions. It does not alter anything related to your projects or files. It cleans up the OS structure files to make it happier. Or something like that.
