  • thanks a lot for your help! i know exactly what you mean and will keep waterproof backups before trying this, i m just very interested to get and use the wonderfull new features in all my project, and although keep working on this long term project which will take a while more to finish…
so, to be sure, you had old compound clips and everything stayed how it used to?

  • hello,
which kind of footage are you using?in my experience fcpx seems to have some trouble stabilizing interlaced footage. if you are using interlaced footage, just try to convert a testclip of your footage into progressive with compressor or so, and then reimport, look that fcpx interprets it right in the inspector as prograssive and then try again. could be that you have to do this step with your footage…

    good luck

  • that was really brilliant help! well done! the nightmare is over 🙂

  • thanks, unfortunatly final cut crashes improting my event…:(

it doesn t crash reimporting other events, i ll try now with smaller pieces..

must have done something to get really bad apple karma…:)

  • thanks, #1 doesn t work, i ll try #2 and #3 now.

I m not far in the timeline edit but there are hundrets of markers in the event browser,
which i have put there with a translator by my side, and loosing these and having to
replace them would be a real pain, and the worst thing is that i m really in a hurry…

i hope exporting and importing to xml keeps the markers..i ll tell you in a bit.

  • thanks for your help!

unfortunatly i tried it all, and it didn t help.

am i the only one having this very strange problem? i imported under 10.0 and analysed while
    importing.

than i did the update ( and learned that even the smallest update while doing a project is a like opening a door to hell )
and kept on working. till i found this problem.

in the meanwhile i found out that in all projects made in 10.0 the clips that have been in the timeline before the update can still be stabilized, and have the option. but bringing the same clip in from the event browser to the same timeline now results in the same missing stabilize option.

i m a bit thankful that my project and events folders are intact, that i m pretty healthy and my family and friends are fine but im really not encouraged with this problem…but you re right, always could be worse 😉

no i just face to repeat about 2 weeks of fulltime working with hundereds of markes with translations of 20 h of material.

thanks for you help, and is there somebody out there having the same problem or a new solution?
