can you post a link as an example. I’m thinking you duplicate the disc of rays and rotate one at a different speed or opposite direction to get a mutating effect.
I understand technically alright, but artistically I don’t understand why you would want to. Just like video, it’s too smooth. 30p to me looks natural whereas render fields looks too clean like an old video switcher.

AS for the rounding, You can try createing one rounded square mask on a white layer. Precomp this. Add a tiler filter on it so it repeats in the same manner your matrix is laid out. Use it as a track matte on the videos as a whole.
I’m completly sure there is a smarter way, but that’s off the top of my head right now. Maybe the grid plug, but I don’t think it has rounding.
