I have. I’m viewing in the highest res I can. It doesn’t matter what type of comp I’m in, the text is still jagged, and it’s for every font I have. I did recently download some new fonts, but I’m not having the same problem in Photoshop or Illustrator.

Any comp I open, any text layer I create. All fonts are jagged.

try rendering out in a lower quality. i assume you’re rendering out in an animation. sometimes, larger files can have trouble playing in those types of players (though, when you import it into whatever you’re editing in, it seems to play fine).

I was trying to avoid expressions (because i am “expressions stupid”)… but it seems I can’t. Guess I’ll have to learn it sometime!

You know, I really should search the topics before I post. I found a massive thread on this.

Thanks much for the help though!

Ok, that may work. I’ll give it a try.

I’m just looking to re-create it as close as I possibly can.

    Anymore suggestions?

I’m using very few effects, but for the most part maybe large layers.

i’m still not understanding why when it’s done rendering it won’t play through.

if you were going to use a mask to begin with, and track the footage, there was really no reason for the green eye patch.

since you used the green eyepatch, why not use keylight to key the area out?

yes, my bg image is probably 8 mega pixels, maybe higher. i have a bunch of cloud elements placed throughout the comp that are displacing and rotating slightly, but i still don’t see how 17 seconds is taking 3 hours to render. i’ve rendered out much more complex projects that were 4 times as long is half the time of this.
