thanks for all the replies. i don’t mind so much that quicktime and VLC are differing – if i want to watch it on my local machine i’ll just use whatever player works for me. the real issue is how to get consistent results between browsers. somehow others are able to (i.e. if i open up other peoples’ youtube videos in safari and chrome, they match. yet when i open my video up on youtube in the two browsers, they don’t match). there must be something with my files that’s causing this issue?
