    Hi all,

After a long time trying to see colors the more accurate possible in my wide gamut monitor (HP LP2475w) I think I found a workflow to make Premiere Pro CS6 ‘Color Managed’ in some way. I would like to know what do you think about this procedure:

    1. Open After Effects and Import your footage.
    2. Set Depth to 32 bits and Working Space to HDTV (Rec. 709) (in the case your going out to HD).
    3. Create a new comp with your footage.
    4. Apply LUT Buddy (by Red Giant) to footage or Adjustment Layer with the next settings:
    -Action: Draw Pattern
    -Pattern: 3D 32
    -Gain: 1
    -Gamma: 1
    5. Apply Color Profile Converter with the next settings:
-Input Profile: Project Working Space (in this case HDTV Rec.709)
    -Lin Input Profile: Uncheck
    -Output Profile: YOUR MONITOR ICC
    -Lin Output Profile: Uncheck
    -Intent: Relative Colorimetric
    -Use Black Point Comp: Check
    6. Apply LUT Buddy again with next settings:
    -Action: Read Pattern
    -Pattern: 3D 32
    -Gain: 1
    -Gamma: 1
    7. Click Option in the last instance of LUT Buddy and export LUT.
    8. Open your sequence in Premiere.
    9. Create an Adjustment Layer, apply LUT Buddy, click Options and Import LUT.
    10. Place this Adjustment Layer over the whole sequence (and don’t forget deactivate it before export).

Does it make sense for you? …I am not a color expert, but after a long time fighting with color shifts in my wide gamut monitor I found this little trick. I know the best way to have an accurate color is using a professional monitor but that is not possible for the moment, and now I can see almost the same colors in Premiere Pro that I see in my color managed AE project….

    What do you think…?
