Replace a Nitrus with a FCP?!????? How can that be? No one would use a nitrus to do anything but Finish work. And to replace it with a FCP!!? They might as well use sissors and a screwdriver, open up tapes and use scotch tape to put it all back together. I dare any FCP finisher to insert a shot onto a clients Only Master. And to really put the fear into them, keep the client in the room. If they’re lucky this won’t be the 1 out 8 times when it inserts on to the wrong timecode.

Adrenaline is not dead. I do, and have done some pretty amazing stuff on mine. Many have told me that the jobs I’ve done can only be done on a smoke or in A.E. and both! It’s cool when they freak cause I’ve to told them where and how I did it. I’m a finisher and I’m glad to do it. I like making things look better. but without Avid what would most of us be finishing on??? FCP is not a reliable finishing machine. What will the final product be put out by? And as far as Avid vs. FCP, come on, that’s really become PC vs. MAC! And that war is ugly.
