  • [Charlie Austin] “[Jeremy Garchow] “It might be time to turn off the internet.

Holy shnikes, I thought we had pretty much seen it all with FCPX.”

Oh, there’s a version of that for X. 🙂 Actually, there’s a version of that for everything. lol

Actually X rated 3 different Hitlers. It is the only bonafide 3 Hitler event I have ever seen

[Gary Huff] “For all we know, Premiere is sunshine and roses.

Everything I’ve seen of it says it IS sunshine and roses.

[Jeremy Garchow] “[Chris Harlan] “Just before reading this, I’d come up with Apple FCPX or Adobe Premiere or Not: The Master Debate”

    The Master COLLECTION Debate.

    Fixed that for you.

The problem is, that by dropping “Collection” between “master” and “debate” you quash the entire Beavis and Butt-head aspect of the title, which, I think, accurately reflects what we all do here, daily, with such fervent eloquence. Heh. Heh.

  • Indeed. that was nice.

[Charlie Austin] “[Jeremy Garchow] “Aren’t we in the very forum you seek?”

Perhaps we should just have a forum named “Or Not”

Just before reading this, I’d come up with Apple FCPX or Adobe Premiere or Not: The Master Debate

    But yours is probably better.

[Steve Connor] “Perhaps we’ll get some Apple guys hanging around the PPro forum now, talking about perpetual licenses?

    Steve Connor

If not that, maybe we can finally get the forum name changed to Apple FCPX or Adobe Premiere or Not: The Master Debate

[Aindreas Gallagher] “I’m doing premiere rental for a year anyway and sitting on CS6. I own it. – again – adobe can take a running jump with CC. They can seriously get stuffed.

    Sounds like a decent compromise.

[James Daugherty] “What is the compensation for the people who have perpetuals licenses?
If they can terminate it then it isn’t perpetual, it’s a fraud.
Time to get the class action going. See you in court.

    Seriously? Sigh.

May 7, 2013 at 10:57 pm in reply to: Why cant adobe have the best of both

[Walter Soyka] “Here’s one possibility: they think they have all the leverage they need to squeeze every last drop of profit from the creative community, and they intend to leave it bloodless and destroyed in a few years with no long-term plan for the continued existence of their company after devouring all their customers, vampire-style.

Here’s another: they actually believe that providing good products and integrated services to the creative community better meets the challenges of modern production than the current product-only model, and that by making a compelling offering at a fair price, people will actually be willing to pay for it.

Whoops! I pushed option one by mistake, and there’s no “back” button.

Yes, I did get a good laugh.
