Actually Chris, the story is 100% true, and 100% accurately reported.
Both Mrs. Smith and Scott Wing really did exist, and the quote, “Like a woman’s skirt, it must be long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to keep it interesting,” was so memorable that I remember it today like it was yesterday.
It’s certainly one of the best coming of age moments I can remember from grammar school, and I wrote it into a script for coming of age movie that, so far, has never been produced.

“While I agree with you in spirit, I have to say–having both a 2008 8 Core and a new Macbook Pro 17–that this divide isn’t as clear to me as it once was. The Macbook Pro, when paired with TBolt and full RAM, is pretty competitive with the 2008 Mac Pro. No question a new machine or even the last couple of iterations of the Mac Pro would blow the lid off of the Macbook Pro, but I’m finding the 2008 no longer earns an “any day.”

I was heavily in to Cakewalk and then Sonar a decade ago. Really great software. I only moved off of it because on my rather forced move to the Mac. I was also a big fan of all the Sonic Foundry (now Sony) stuff.

It’s just you.I don’t really enjoy conversing with you and you don’t enjoy conversing with me, yet you keep sniffing around my post seeking to communicate with me.
I find that behavior………weird.
“Wow. Tony its a forum. We comment on each other’s posts. When we find something we disagree with, we say it. I promise you, I have absolutely no interest in you in any way that involves “sniffing around.” To reiterate what this whole gnarly thing is about–I’ve personally worked on a number of event shows that have more than four ISOs in addition to a rough mix. You were strongly implying that most of those things top out at 4. I disagreed with you. How the conversation got to all of the places you took it, I have no idea.
I will try heartily not to post on any of your comments unless I find something that I really disagree with. Then, I’ll post.
