Thanks for the reply. I had tried that but I didn’t have the window open far enough and the >>> button was blanked out. Thanks again

Thanks for the advice. Figured it was easier to ask now than change something half way through the project.

What is the difference between an .aep and an .aet? And what the purpose would be?

    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply Aharon,

I have never tried flash so maybe the DVD options would be something I could try. I have a little experience with Encore so it’s worth exploring. If anyone else has a suggestion of how to make a DVD/CD rom, please let me know.

    Thanks again,

September 29, 2006 at 5:13 pm in reply to: 3D layer having a different colored sides

Would I be right in that if I wanted to say put a different photo on the back of the 3D layer I would duplicate the layer, replace the layer and then move it back 1 pixel and possibly rotate it 180? This would give me a different photo on the backside of the 3D layer? I know this if very basic but I just wanted to check. Thanks

I’ll try to experiment with a null object to control the camera. I haven’t had alot of experience null objects yet, but it sounds like it might be an easier way to go. Would I keyframe most of the movements of the null (zoom, pan, etc) and let the camera be controlled that way and mix in some camera moves when it was a little easier to get the right shot?

    Thanks,

Thanks for your reply. After trying to manually place the layers, I did buy the 3d assistants full version and placed all the layers in my project. (what a time saver!) I’m basically looking to reproduce similar camera movements as they did. It just seems very tedious and time consuming to move the camera around to achieve similar results. You mentioned time remapping, how would this help and is there any other tips you might give to make this process a little easier? If it is just a matter of alot of time tweaking settings then so be it, but after setting up layers in 3d space manually and then using 3d assistants, it can’t hurt to ask about this also to see if there is an easier way! lol

    Thanks again
