Hey Nevin,
That looks more like the problem I am experiencing.
Thanks again for the response. Doesn’t the 7D have an anti-aliasing filter already installed on the sensor? If not, why not?
But thank you, I will do a bit more research and then post again on this thread.

Thanks for the help Roland, it’s hard to find this info when you don’t know the terms.
Much appreciated. Now, off to find some lenses that have less Chromatic aberration!

Hey Jeff,
Yes, I have tried that. The brightness of the overall appearance is not what concerns me, I just want to have a greater CONTRAST between the unselected clips, and the selected clips. Thanks for the feedback though.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Hey Kaj,
I, too, have a similar problem with my rendering. Whenever the bar is red on the top of my timeline, (especially when I am applying time remapping effects to my clips), I need to render them to make them play smoothly. However, when I render my clips (to make the red bar up-top green), 2 horizontal black bars appear on the top and bottom of my program monitor, for no reason. I am not changing any settings at all, and in fact– i’m creating the sequence to match the clips in my bin perfectly!
I don’t know what’s happening, and it’s very annoying. If anyone has a solution, or if you found a fix to your problem, let me know.
Thanks!

November 27, 2011 at 3:08 am in reply to: Why Encoder takes over 24 to export 100 minutes CS5 project?Hey Al,
On the Adobe Website it says “Import and natively edit AVCHD content from Sony, Panasonic, and Canon cameras without transcoding or rewrapping the content. Use the Media Browser to browse clips and view metadata — including metadata from Panasonic AVCCAM cameras.” for CS 5.5. https://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/features.html
They say that even the trial version of CS 5.5 comes with all of the necessary codecs, but I, too have had trouble with some unsupported file formats. If you’re having trouble I recommend reinstalling. A lot of times that fixes some minor problems.
In regards to your slow export…Vince’s post is correct. More core’s at a higher processing speed = better.

November 23, 2011 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Merged Clips Failure/This Project Contained a Sequence That Could Not be Opened…Hey Vince,
Thanks for your reply. My sequence settings are native to my 7D’s 1080p/24fps .mov files, and my audio files are both taken from my Zoom H4n @ 48.1 hz. (I create the sequence to match the files by dragging my clip to the “new item” icon.)
If it is indeed what you are saying, and PP 5.5 is creating a preset that is write-able but not readable, what are my solutions? Am I limited to just syncing and leaving all my clips/takes on one timeline? or moving them all to separate sequences and cutting from there?
If there is no workaround, are there other codecs I can go online and download for 5.5?
Thanks!
