That’s probably part of it, but not all. read the end of the article. Here’s a little bit:(emphasis mine)
“It took me three days to get up to speed, but once I arrived I found I could edit in half the time I was used to.
Why? It has such great tools for organizing and finding your footage. You can track and preview tons of clips in no time, allowing you to stay with the creative flow and concentrate on your editing. I also like the trackless magnetic timeline. It’s very intuitive to work with. I love how you can just move clips around while keeping everything connected. Sometimes this can get in your way, but then you just press a key to temporarily switch it off. So you have the best of both worlds.”
It’s a very balanced article noting both what he likes and what could be better.

[Scott Witthaus] “How different is CC from CS6? I find PP in CS6 to be a pain. I use it only when I have to (clients shop).
“A lot. It’s a great NLE. That said… I’m with Bob… Tracks/bins etc. drive me batty now. And I say this as someone who will often be working in X, 7 and PrCC in the course of any given day. I can can cut faster, and focus more on the creative stuff in X. It’s not perfect, (nor is Pr etc.) but even with it’s “foibles” I prefer working with it.
Not that that’s news to anyone here… 😉

I have a sneaking suspicion it’s somehow related to analyses/waveforms or something. I occasionally see the waveforms redrawing sluggishly (or not at all) which is solved by a relaunch. It seems these phantom BG processes are always running when I quit in this situation.
Or not… 🙂

I hope they do this too. The “control surfaces” that exist, while mostly well done, are really of limited use IMO. The Logic Remote is awesome, and a perfect example of what could be possible. Having, say, the inspector/FX HUDs/Color Controls/Scopes etc. always open on an iPad would be amazing.

I think we, not surprisingly, tend to focus on MC too much. PT really is the “industry standard” and probably makes them quite a bit of $$.
