[Ken Latman] “Has anyone tried this new plug-in?”

If it’s a Red Giant product, you better make sure that it works with your set-up as their code is sloppy and full of bugs and updates are long in coming. They also ignore customer service issues. If you want to verify that, search this site for the last time one of their customer support people replied to any issues their customers were having. You won’t find it in all likelihood. They also ignore emails.

[Michael Duff] “KLF 2.5.2 is crashing all over the place .. We are running it on CS3, and have tried on a G5 and macPro with the same results … we get an error saying “After Effects cannot invoke the plug-in Knoll Light Factory” … then it crashes … We are applying the plug-in to quite a complicated composition which also has in it other lens flares, blurs, Magic Bullet Look Suite … does anyone know of conflicts KLF has with other plug-ins? I’ve tried it with GPU on and off … multiprocessor on and off .. and they all crash …”

Red Giant strikes again. Sloppy code and long dry spells between fixes.

Sorry I don’t have a fix but I really doubt there is one. It’s why I avoid RG software like it was the plague.
