    Hi,

Thank you all for your suggestions. I installed SV11 trial and it is working fine. I’ll take another look at SV10 when I get some free time.

    Thanks,

    Hi Theo,

Thanks for your reply. I’ll try that.

I used 10.0d couple of months ago on the same machine and it worked perfectly fine then. I suspect that some other software update is causing the issue.

Thanks for the info on NewBlue plug-in. I’ll have a look. I can’t use OpenFX plugin as Vegas 9 does not support it.

Thanks John. That seems the only option.

    Hi John,

I didn’t get the point. Assuming that I limit the number of plugins per event to one, I can still have multiple events that contain my plugin right? So how do I find out which Event the plugin belongs to?

    Hi Grazie,

My plug-in will pop-up a modal dialog with complex UI providing different options to edit the video. It almost covers the entire screen. When user is using my dialog he will not be able to see preview in Vegas. Hence my dialog should provide real time preview and timeline controls (play, pause, stop, seek etc).

    Cheers,

    Hi,

I am trying to get the event information (length, start time, end time etc) from my DirectX plug-in. I am using a script to get this information as DirectX plug-in API does not provide this option.

My plug-in runs the script on a button click event. The script has to find the ‘Event’ that contains my plug-in (the instance which launched the script). Then I can extract the information from that Event object.

When I mentioned ‘selected FX’, I was pointing to the effect which is shown in ‘Video Event Fx’ window.

I hope this makes things bit clear.

    Thanks,
    Chandan

Thanks Frederic. I am looking at scripting API right now. It seems it has control over timeline, but still need to dig more.
