Sorry, I must have said something wrong. I am exporting to my external drive. But for some reason it seems to take from the main hardrive while rendering. It goes from 800mb to zero, then I’ll restart the computer and it will be back at 800mb.

But let me ask you this. What is the best setting for exporting HD so that it will have the BEST quality on YouTube?

March 18, 2010 at 2:56 pm in reply to: Greenscreen Sets with real props

I appreciate that, and I apologize. I am researching in all avenues including this creative cow website, so I’m sorry if it seems like I’m just throwing plain questions out there. I am going to run tests, I just wanted a general direction to start in since I’ve only done green screen once and it was a while ago, and it didn’t turn out so well.

Which camera would you suggest? I’m possibly going to be shooting on Red or Panasonic HDX 900. Also, you mentioned a better program for keying, can you give me some examples so I can go look them up? Thank you.

And about the set props in front of green screen, is there somewhere I can find a tutorial for that as well? Yes, they probably should have taught me all this at Full Sail Film School back in ’04, but when I went there, we actually didn’t dabble too much in green screen effects. Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely,

Okay, I see. So do you think I can make the Black & White colors really crisp (with lots of contrast) though the FCP color corrector? Or should I send my FCP timeline to the FCP Studio 2 program COLOR?

  • Okay, thanks a million. I appreciate it. 🙂

February 21, 2010 at 1:54 am in reply to: Trouble Exporting a 3 minute video

Okay thanks. I have all my settings for rendering, capturing, and saving going to My Book 500gig hardrive. I’ve exported a video there, and when I tried to do the same with the next one it didn’t work. But what I did notice is that the first video’s timeline settings are somehow making my program viewer box 4:3. The video that is not exporting completely has a timeline set to 16:9. Weird. But I shot both videos HD 16:9. Do you think that if I copy my sequence/edits, then paste it into the timeline with the settings that worked before, that I may be able to export?

  • I haven’t tried that, I actually don’t start editing till tonight. I just heard that I wouldn’t be able to digitize the way I do with DV and wanted some insight before I get started…
