My HPX300 is acting the same way can anyone help me figure this out?

Here was my fix.
I found on my HPX300 you need to make sure the latest firmware is installed 9.35.00.0.00.
Don’t ever go past F5 use filters before stopping down.
Scene settings are the key made a huge difference.
I used a putora sharpness indicator to make sure back focus was good.
Use lots of light.
I ordered the DSC 12 chip chart with skin tones & 12 step grey scale.
The camera is operating like it should now but was not setup this way out of box.
Hope this helped,

I think the Reader is not SDHC compliant. Im going to test in another reader.
Will this firmware update fix the problem or is it going to require a test charts.
I setup back focus with a Putora Sharpness Indicator the night before but the picture still looks soft!
I’m about to buy a DSC lab Frontbox 12-4 chip chart with 11 step greyscale. I guess i’m headed in the right direction.
Any suggestions would be helpful

To properly setup a HPX300 do you need a DSC Labs ChromaDuMonde 28 chip test chart or can you use a different chart with similar results.
Is the waveform/vector scope built into the camera have all the same features as a stand alone vector scope?
I’m only asking because these charts require hd vector scope and if the one on the camera will work that will save from having to purchase extra equipment that propably won’t be used much.
Not sure how often you would want to shoot the charts if your only using one camera shoots.

Sorry I didn’t clarify but the first kit was two Diva 400’s. How about the litepanels?

I uninstall and this time during the custom setting I went with all defaults and let it install and it showed up in the device manager under Sound Video & Game Controllers.

I will be mostly working with DVC PRO HD.
The only reason I was curious about the nitris dx working in a dual boot configuration was I just loaded Vista 64 under bootcamp and installed XSI 7.0 and Eyeon Fusion 5.3 and they both work great.
I have an hp9300 for animation and compositing but the mac 8 core is twice as fast on the renders so it would be nice if I was working on the vista side to still be able to use the avid nitris without having to shut down and reboot in the mac os. It would then allow me to set up network renders with the hp9300.
Is the realtime like FCP RT (Does the preview quality starts to decline as you add more effects or do you just have to smart render where there are more effects and layers)?
Can you go straight to tape at anytime?
Any issues with long format programs?
Thanks again for your insight I want to spend my money on a system I can grow my business into and not being worried if the system is going to crash in-front of a client like previous systems (Fast DV Master / Speed Razor and Digisuite / Razor)nor do I want to have to wait for long renders.
