Right-click the file in the project bin and go to Modify>Audio Channels. There you can customize how the tracks are interpreted when you drop it onto a timeline. You’ll need to do this before adding it to a timeline. For simplicity you can choose the “Mono” preset, which will create 4 mono clips on your timeline instead of one 4-channel clip.

Just make sure you pan the tracks left and right accordingly in the Audio Clip Mixer panel (or the sequence settings) — Otherwise stereo audio will all be centered.

Thanks, Michael. Out of curiosity what was their rate if you don’t mind saying? Honestly this is a one-off project I doubt I’ll ever have to do again, so it might just make more sense to outsource it rather than invest in all this equipment.

What a small world. I just started researching this after acquiring a DVR-10 deck to digitize a D-2 cassette for a client… Then I come across this thread started three years ago and still being discussed!

Unfortunately the InnoVision DX210 looks very hard to find. The link Larry posted recently now says ‘Out of stock’ and Google search doesn’t turn up much.

So, is it safe to say this is a lost cause? I’m sure a lab like Fotokem or Technicolor would be able to do to the job but not for cheap. I’ll probably just settle for capturing the analog signal and cleaning it up as best as possible.

Nope, no luck. I even tried uninstalling and deleting the codec files before I installed the older version. Maybe if I could upgrade QuickTime or something, but of course you can’t upgrade or install anything on a Mac unless you keep up with the current version of OSX.

Any other ideas? Thanks for helping.

Yep, all the component files are in that folder. I downloaded the 2.3.7 LE package right from Avid’s site here: https://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Download/en423319.
Everything installed fine and it didn’t say there were any compatibility errors. Suppose I’ll try installing an older version like 2.3.4.

It’s in an mov wrapper. Opening it in QT throws up the error saying that an additional component is needed so apparently QT doesn’t recognize the codecs either.
