Am not on a Mac Pro system. Did find two other filters in the LS suite that have the same error. Magic Bullet folk are running tests to try and resolve.

Will report back if I hear anything.

Thanks for the response, Wayne. Have narrowed it down to being a problem specific to Magic Bullet’s “LS Bronze” filter (see below).

https://www.randomcove.com/downs/fcp3.jpg = with no filter applied. The full frame is seen.

https://www.randomcove.com/downs/fcp4.jpg = with “LS Bronze” filter on, cropping the right side of frame.

So I turned off the filter and tried numerous other filters from the Look Suite package, as well as from FCP in general and all work without cropping the frame. I’m thinking LS Bronze is corrupted. Gonna contact Magic Bullet.

Have checked that that it’s not cropped, and agree the image doesn’t look squeezed. We’re stumped at what’s causing it. Going to try more tests.

Even before importing to FCP, I open the clips in Quicktime to confirm that the dimensions are correct — both at 1440x and 1920x. They are and still this odd crop thing occurs.

Modifying “Random Order” and “Random Seed” are, indeed, the fix!

What’s thrown me off is that I expected to find indicators of some kind running on the timeline that would indicate where specific events where happening — much like the key frame markers themselves. Apparently, that is not the case with stuff taking place under “Animator 1.”

In order to differentiate the zoom out directions, I’ve been playing with the “Random Order” (on/off) and “Random Seed” options.

    Still haven’t nailed it.
