    I agree with Matte. I have solved many video dropout issues by mixing down audio only.

    I hear you my brother! That’s the speech I gave the engineer who was looking at my tape at
    the studio I delivered it to. So I went home and did a test. Sure enough, I output to the DVCAM tape with no errors from a 48k sequence. When I re-digitized that same tape into the same FCP project I got an error, after digitizing that said tape sample rate different than project. And the deck said the audio data on the new record was 44.
    My new theory is I have a deck has a bad chip or my tape stock is old. I’m gonna try a different type of DVCAM tape-the newer ones that are HD. I’ll post results if that works–in case someone else runs into same problem. Thanks for answering anyway!

    Thanks for quick reply Walter. I only see 48 and 32. And in the manual it says “The VCR automatically records in the same audio recording mode as the source tape”. I have the deck set to 16 bit–still get 44 on that.
