Thanks. I will give that a shot, even though all of a sudden, after 3 days, it is working again. Very strange.

On another note: I just realised that the cinematographer shot in 2k, 3k and 4k (don’t ask me why). As I finish in 2K, I was wondering if it is better to change the size of all media to 2K on import into FCP (otherwise I have to render a lot in the timeline). However, I didn’t see a change-size option in the log-transfer tool. Any suggestion?

Thanks a lot Sergio. It still does not look the same way (neat and cool), but I am getting the gist. If you managed to do it, would you mind sending me your settings?

    Thanks.

    Hi Matt,

I have a similar problem. I have 16:9 DV footage in an 1080i HDV Avid Media Composer project. As Avid allows mixed resolution in their timeline, the DV footage automatically fills the screen exactly like the HDV footage. Only difference is the quality, which, of course I want to improve with the BCC Uprez filter. The Boris website tutorial is of no use because it is for Adobe. Any Avid user that has used Uprez?

Thanks for your reply Bob. I want to buy the Mojo SDI in a years time. In the meantime I would like to know if I can use an SD CRT client monitor (feeding it from the ADC-110) for doing colour correction and monitoring effects for shows destined to be watched on Plasma/LCD (either SD or HD). I mean, are the colours and effects going to look terribly different when exhibited?

Btw, I usually work with DVCAM/DV, HDV (and plan to integrated DVCPRO HD), and I output on DV tape (for broadcast) or DVD.

    Thanks.

    Hi Bob,

Thanks a lot for your response. I am not so much concerned about how to get the video signal out. I think the ADV-110 is ok for now, and I cannot afford the mojo yet. I am more concerned how to actually check that signal. In your article on NLE systems you recommend having a CRT. However, I realise, especially in the UK, a very quick shift to LCD and Plasma TVs. I want to cater for all formats the show is destined for, so am I correct in saying that a proper CRT client monitor for CC and effects monitoring will cater for shows destined on Plasma/LCD AND normal SD TVs? I am asking because I want to invest in a good one, one that I can use even when Plasma/LCD TVs will predominate and CRT will fade out.

    Thanks a lot.
