October 17, 2005 at 12:38 pm in reply to: amazing program for designers remains obscureThere are two features that I use most. Recording brush strokes in real time. I’t’s fun to move around a warp brush so that the image smears around. Another one is the live brush strokes on a path, so that you have an outline in an animating stroke. The gallery is mostly painterly but I’ve seen work by designers that stands apart from the crowd. It’s easy to forget about sa since it isn’t a standard. I want to find time to get into it deeper.

September 19, 2005 at 10:10 pm in reply to: RES Seminar on HD & the Future of Filmmaking – 5 CowsI don’t think that many Creative Cow subscribers expected that post to be a discussion of $100,000 cameras.
Wrong constituency. The future of filmmaking to Res readers and Cow regulars, means filmmaking that we can afford and within the budget range of the average digital department. Why don’t you consider writing an article on the difference between $100,000 cameras and our $3,000 – $7,000
cameras? If you are qualified, many of us would be interested in reading what you have to say. -

September 19, 2005 at 6:35 pm in reply to: RES Seminar on HD & the Future of Filmmaking – 5 CowsMost people frequenting Cow would not be in the market for a $100k camera, and would not
find this review confusing at all.My company wouldn’t even be in the market for a $100 camera.

The design books by Robin Williams helped me the most. It’s good for people who have not had formal design training. There is actually a filter for after effects that works as an aid for selecting harmonious color schemes. I cannot remember the name offhand.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the guy babbling incoherently, under the illusion that he’s the only 20 year old working in the big time, bragging how he’d skipped college. Repeating himself over and over. Watching him make a total ass out of himself, alone, made the event worth attendiing.
