I’m very dissapointed, I also expected much more from Adobe.
18 months waiting and it didn’t fulfill half of my expectations. This upgrade looks like a “Service pack”.
18 months!!!!
AH! Wait! they took out the Horse from the Premiere’s logo. Big improvement.

I rather have a better Premiere than more software i’m not gonna use.
If I were interested in flash, I’d buy it separately or I’d hire a Flash guy.I already know how to use like 5 NLE and 3 compositor, I’m an EDITOR-compositor, not the Orchestra man.
I do not comprehend flash interface at all, seems a little bit unfriendly for me.
Let’s give some jobs to other people, we can’t do it all. -

December 1, 2005 at 5:01 pm in reply to: .mov files – “No importer found that supports this file type”Just some advice:
Stay away from QuickTime 7 !!!
It damaged my machine, my brother’s and it’s imposible to uninstall (And Itunes Too).
I had to format and start over.
Also stay away from any Ipod related software (other than Itunes)

“it’s a companion editor to a full NLE system.”
So, in other words, Media100 made a software NLE for the following Target:
People who already have a Media100, instead of trying to lure new users with a cheap complete software solution and open new markets.
Do you think all the editors who use AVID Xpress DV also own a Media Composer Adrenaline??
In order to simply use this software, you NEED, You MUST HAVE a Media100 system.
New users, Do you want a $ 395 Media100?
All you need is a $ 10.000 Media100 to use it. That’s it!!
That’s even dumber than making a non-capturing NLE.

I think is a wrong move to launch a NLE that can’t capture.
The good thing about a software only NLE is precisely that you can capture on low resolution to work as an offline.
Even worse, If you have to convert to low resolutions to work apropriately with SW, then SW is close to useless.
A NLE that can’t capture is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen, with all due respect.
My humble opinion.

Still don’t get it
If you use the addenda translator you are gonna take advantage of the FAR SUPERIOR Sony protocol (RS-242), mean better, faster and more accurate control. That’s why the Addenda adapter is so expensive.
The RS-232 solution is the watered down version.
But You all do whatever you want.
The end. Bye

“It seems like other 9 to 25 pin adapters that I’m already using”
WHAAAAAAAAAT???
Don’t you think is “Kinda weird” the Addenda adapter is a LOT more expensive than a $ 4.99 “9 to 25 adapter” you can buy in WALMART ???
Is not $ 148 a lot of money for a vulgar “9 to 25” adapter???
Buddy, this is a serious protocol tranlator with active electronics inside, not a silly 9 to 25 pin adapter.
In few words:
Do you want to control your Machine?
THIS is what you need.
