No, if I try and render from half way through, it still happens.

yes tried that (clicking on the lightning), tried taking down the dynamic ram preview, tried taking down the number of threads, tried copying and pasting to a new Vegas project, I’ve tried removing the frame where it freezes at, It all started when I loaded a quick time movie, and rendered that to a sony avc file, so I could keep all my files the same, all m2ts files, but, even though I’ve now deleted that file, AND removed all Apple programs from my computer, it still won’t render. Oh, I also updated all the win7 updates, which I didn’t want to do. I don’t know what else to do.

No, it is only running when Vegas is running.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I’ve looked into that, there is only one of those, however it does say (not visible) after it? Any other ideas?

Ahh, yes, I have this problem, I’ve tried everything on this forum, then I saw this thread and I’ve done what you said Steve, in the analyze wait chain box it says:
    vegas90.exe (PID4472)Thread: 3804, then underneath:
    File IOSurrogate.exe (PID3268)Thread:-

any ideas anyone, my project just keeps sticking at frame 160, when I delete that frame, it just stops rendering a bit later on…

Just to clarify, is it this project setting:

    HD 1080-50i (1920×1080 25.000fps).

    Thanks again.

    Hi John,
I think that means my rendering settings are wrong too.
    I’m using PAL AVCHD files 1920 x 1080 x 12.
I set the project properties to Pal DV Widescreen, then click on Upper Field First (AVCHD files), then it defaults to PAL standard/IMX widescreen. 8 bit pixels, Good quality rendering, Gaussian blur, Blend Deinterlacing, and I don’t check the “adjust source media…” button.
Here’s where I’m unsure, in the rendering template for DVD Architect Pal Widescreen, it defaults to lower field first, but I’ve been setting it to upper, because it’s AVCHD, am I wrong?
Also, what is the “12” in my AVCHD file?
Also, how do I set my original footage which is at 16mbps to match Vegas, which I think I read on the forum is 12mbps?
Many thanks for all your advice on this forum it’s helped me so much.
