If you’re working with Canon DSLR footage, try 5DtoRGB for your transcodes…. there is a batch and command line version. Check the reviews, it is worth the trouble.

Well the first install i did was through the admin account… but tried the root user after uninstall!

I’m going to wipe everything and start from scratch soon, and i’ll post the results.

Thanks…. I’m definitely not using Lion server, and I just did a fresh Lion install before my first installation attempt of Resolve 8.

I could attempt another fresh Lion install on that Mac Pro and try installing Resolve again. Is the secret to a successful first install to be logged in as root user?

I am also having trouble under OS X Lion 10.7, and I keep getting the same database error. I followed the terminal directions above and every command worked except invalid path for the last delete command.

Then, I removed the preferences and library folder as you stated, uninstalled and emptied trash, enabled root user via directory utility, logged out and back in as root, reinstalled again and same database error. Tried it twice now 🙁

Did you use the terminal commands above?
