Attempting to update the driver in device manager may not solve your
problem. You need to find out why the updater will not evoke the software.
Your problem is that some part of your computer architecture, either hardware,
software or both, is preventing the Mojo firmware from evoking the correct
update firmware response, and telling your version of MC to go to the Avid
website and run the Mojo firmware upgrade.
To find what is causing this is a process of elimination.
What type of 1394 (firewire) cable are you using? There are very recent
instances where the Mojo firmware update will not fire because it is plugged
into the computer with a different kind of cable that it was delivered with.
In our case. converting from Express Pro to Media Composer 4.05. running on new Nehalem Mac Pros.
We tried for three days to no avail, before I discovered the Mojo would not
update when plugged in with a nine pin to six pin, firewire cable, a necessary
move since the Nehalem has no six pin connectors on the bus.
As soon as I plugged the Mojo in to a 1394 PCI card with the old six pin cable,
and fired MC, the upgrade dialog appeared immediately, and ran automatically
as it should.
Good luck,
