Media Composer 4.05 export to Bluray and DVD masters
We are finishing our first HD project since changing to Media Composer 4.05,
running on a new dual quad Mac Pro Nehalem.It was shot in 1080, 35mbs, with New JVC 700s.
We need to output to High-end DVD and Bluray masters. We can use
Sorenson and DVD Studio Pro 4.What is desired is to set the software to use the entire DVD\Bluray disk,
to ensure the least compression, highest playback resolution possible.Have you done this? Can you enlighten with settings, info?

DVD Studio Pro does not do BluRay.
You will have to find something else to author with.

You’re on a Mac so you have a couple of options. It’s going to be easier for you if your DVD is a auto-play disc than an interactive one as most of the affordable Blu-Ray authoring tools are suspect.
If you just need an auto-play Blu-Ray see Toast 9. It will author those. Compress using the software of your choice (Sorenson’s okay, Apple’s Compressor comes with presets).
Adobe’s Encore is another option. However if you need to author an interactive menu please see Walter Biscardi’s tale of horror.
