However for some reason, even if I customize my Sequence Settings to match my source files, I still get the black bars. I triple check the sequence settings, they are 1920×1440, and when I right click on a clip in the sequence and check it’s item properties, it says 1920×1440…

The client in question has requested me to output the final edit as a 1920×1440 uncompressed quicktime file, this is so that he can have a master file that is intended to be viewed on a computer monitor, as well as be output to any tape format. I should mention that the original video is (Flash vector animation) and can be output from Flash at any size without loss of quality.
