    just so anyone doesn’t pull their hair out doing this…

    you have to export the batch as .csv from premiere. then go into a spreadsheet, reformat the headers as shown earlier. then save it as tab delimited (not comma seperated). then, reopen it in a word processor and save it as encrypted text– simple text files do not import.

    Here is an example of the file–

    Name Media Start Media End Reel
    S10 01 00:31:16:14 00:33:02:09 tape 18

    The columns are seperated with tabs. It was saved as .csv and I changed it to .txt manually to import. It looks correct as per page 301 of the FCP manual, but FCP is still giving errors about not matching headers.
