Thanks John! I didn’t realize DVD Studio Pro could make Blu-Rays. If that’s the case it’s easy as that’s how I make my regular DVD’s with separate audio.

So to clarify. I make a qt with current settings of my movie even if that’s 200 gigs. Then I put it into compressor. How do I attach a separate AC3 5.1 audio file? I tried that before in compressor and it didn’t have an option to marry the audio file to the video file. I also tried this in Toast which did ask me for an audio file to compliment the M2V file when it recognized it as not having audio. This worked, but I was only able to generate a 3.5 gig M2v file using compressor and not a larger M2v file to better suite the higher quality of Blu Ray. Help!!!

Does anyone know why DVD Studio Pro doesn’t work with HD files to make a Blu-ray disc? Everytime I use compressor to make a 19 gig file of my movie, it won’t import into DVD Studio Pro. Studio Pro keeps saying it’s an incompatible format — but how can it be if compressor made it? It does work in Toast to make the blu-ray, but I wanted to authorize a better disc using DVD Studio Pro, but it won’t let me. Any suggestions as to why this won’t work?

The footage has unique names, but maybe I need to check the box in Media Manager that says use clip names and not the other option? Also, when you see it has to be reels; I have five 15 minute reels and I selected the folder that the sequences are in and then went to Media Manager. It did the reels in the copied project, but then there was about 10% corruption in duplicating the files through Media Manager, so selecting the folder seemed to work. Anything I had a motion speed change on became a still image for the length of the original shot — why would that be? And also, some dialogue would lower in volume or drop in and out during an actors continuous sentence. Thanks for your help!
