We are editing in Final Cut 5. The three sources are ‘native’ 16:9 — Panasonic P-2 HD, Panasonic 480 30P SD (SDX900) and Panasonic 720 30P HD (Varicam). The timeline sequence looks closest to the source material when it is set to 720/30P, but when we export to a Quicktime movie it is ‘squeezed’ into 4:3. When the timeline/sequence is set to DV, the P-2 and 480/30P/SD material are sharp, but the 720/30P/HD material is soft when exported to Quicktime and to DVD. How do we edit these mixed formats and export to a DVD where the three cameras are equally sharp?

    Thanks,
