    according to our IT guys, we have the fastest computers this side of the Mississippi. They didn’t really say that, but these are serious machines. But it certainly wouldn’t surprise me if my issue was that large scale. However, even when i created the 720 x 486 comp, using a solid that’s the same size as the comp, I was getting the same results. So that would imply it can’t possibly be the machine. Right?

    I used Animation codec to render as a QT. Frame rate is 29.97.

    Its just strange that it shows up in my RAM previews and also my renders…

    Thats definitely more smooth than mine, but even when i render mine out it still plays all “herky-jerky”. the final render for me is about 800 megabytes.

    but just now I tried all the same settings in a new comp that is 720 x 486 using a solid that is the same size as the comp, and I’m still getting the stop and go motion. It seems like the slow motion of what I’m creating is can’t be calculated by After Effects because there’s information in between frames that’s missing, and it’s creating that stop and go motion. I just don’t really understand what’s going on.

    hah…wow, that definately isn’t it…i’m checking the settings I posted right now to make sure it was all the same.

    Now that I’m looking at it, I definately needed to put the comp size…1080 width, 1920 height. Basically widescreen, but vertical.

    However, even with those new dimensions, the blocks are moving super fast.

    Also, the time of the comp should be 1 minute, then the first keyframe is at 0 and the last is basically at 59.28.

    I did make a mistake on the complexity…it should be 1.0.
