    OK,cool. I’ll do that. That reader gets downloaded and installed on the main C drive of the computer or somewhere in Vegas??

    It is MJPG, as you said and I did a search about what do do about this problem. I’m not finding anything. How help what I can do or how do use this avi in Vegas 6.0 ?

    My old still digital Sony camera took video in MPG format and that dragged into my Sony Vegas 6 just fine. OK, not knowing too much about this, I followed your advise and used GSpot to check. The codec is MJPG. Now what?

    Got it. Thanks!! The only time I use this setting is just to capture the image, correct? At all other times, use the default setting which is “lower field first”?

    Thank you. I went to File–> Properties–> Project Properties. I have a box labeled “Deinterlace Method”. It’s drop down options are “Blend Fields” or “Interpolate Fields”. It’s set on “Blend Fields”. I don’t see anything about non-interlaced of progressive. You thoughts?

  • I’m using Vegas Movie Studio + DVD. Is that the “full” version??
