Mine did the same thing when I ran On my old dual core hp.
It would shut down with a red x.
I have a quad core win 7 now and it works ok. I think the system wasn’t powerful enough to handel the system.

I have Win 7 no operating problems, but I have no Thumbnail images
when I go to capture video. other than that Vegas works great on
Windows 7 Just make sure you get more than 1 fire wire Port.
mine came with 1 had to order PCIe card from Newegg to add 2 more.
fire wire ports it was only 19.95. Rosswell makes it and works good.

I I’am talking about the capture bin scene clips after you load in a scene you should see a thumbnail clip of that scene.
win 7 os is not allowing this, all other video works fine.
I have no referance scene to look at rightway in my capture bin window. i have to depend on the project file when im done loading in video. makes it difficult to deleat unwanted scenes if you can’t see them befor you exit out of capture.
    Thank you.

Hi Terry, This is just in the video capture bin after I capture a scene a square box comes up but no video is in that box to show me what scene I just loaded in. It appears a flim strip icon fills the box and no video clip, I have no problems with this in win.XP
Project media is fine theres the vid clip there.
Im not sure if this is a win.7 os problem.

Thanks for the come back and have a great Thanksgiving.
