Thanks Jeff and Kannan for the replies.

The best I seem to be able to do (having tried your suggestions and a little more) is to have the full screen viewer AND the angle viewer on the Philips screen and all the rest on my MacBook. Not what I originally envisaged but I’m getting used to it rapidly. Actually, looking at it now, STARING at me, it makes sense. Those designers at Apple knew what they were doing.

To find a problematic clip I’d ‘Duplicate the Project’ and in the duplicate delete all clips to (say) the right of the centre point and see if the problem goes away. If not then it is somewhere on the left of that point. Duplicate again (if necessary) and keep halving and halving until you’ve zoomed in on it.

Make sure that no unattended cameras get stolen. I typically use six or even eight at a time in the theatres where I make videos and although I’ve been lucky so far it’s a worry.

Thank you Noah and I’ll certainly try editing with proxy files for the next project – I’ve just about finished this one. I don’t think t’s a problem with the media as I’ve had this randomly occurring on most projects over the last few years. But thanks for the suggestions.

Originals. I used to create proxies but this machine never skips a frame with the originals all on the same G-Drive with Thunderbolt.

Thanks Bret and Robin. I was aware of the copy and paste of keyframes and it is SO useful. In this case I was overlaying video of a presenter with the material he was presenting and then using (mainly) the Transform keyframes to zoom in and move around. It came out great! Regards.

Thanks for that Bret and it certainly helps. I see now that by doing it the way you suggest I can set all keyframes for EITHER the Transform OR Crop set of attributes but not both at the same time. In any case that’s going to save me a lot of clicks! Thanks again.

How about making a new project with just, say, the first half of the clips and see if that exports OK? If so then try another set of clips etc until you narrow down to where the problem might lie. Just an idea.
